So your RSM will be routing between the TR-vlans?
I would solve this as follows: First of all create a vtp domain that spans both switches. I suppose that you use the supervisor ports as trunks. Interconnect the switches. Then define an additional vlan in the vtp domain. The purpose of this vlan is to transport routed traffic between the two switches. Configure IP on the RSM for this vlan, and on your 6509. Now you should be able to establish IP connectivity between the two switches.
When your 6509 does layer3 switching this should be sufficient.
Otherwise the RSM has to route for all ethernet vlans as well.
