initiate router connection in one direction

We’re using a Cisco 2600 series router to give our customers remote support over ISDN.

Our customers are using Cisco 801 ISDN routers.

When we connect to a remote site, the 801 router calls us back.

But our customers can also build up a connection to our network, also when we’re not giving support.

Is it possible to prevent that the 801 router makes a connection to our site when we’re not giving support? Is it possible that only we can initiate up a (dial-back) connection?

Re: initiate router connection in one direction

Set up an access list to ensure interesting traffic inbound is the only thing the device is interested in, not outbound. Give the TAC a call if you need assistance setting this up.If the remote site has people who can admin the 800 and initiate a call manually, then you will have to investigate other options.
