Input Packet Drops on FastEthernet on 2600

What could be the cause for high packet (100pkt/sec)drops on the input queue on a 2600 f0/1?

F0/1 is connected to a 7200 E0 and have the appropriate duplex/speed settings.

The router is running at 50% util.

Thanks.

Re: Input Packet Drops on FastEthernet on 2600

Since the queues are a function of overall DRAM, not enough DRAM to buffer all the incoming packets would be the most common cause. This would be further documented by misses, trims, creates and failures in SHOW BUFFERS.
