input queue on Cat4000 with native IOS

how do I have to interpret the following input queue counters:

myCat4000#sh in g3/1

GigabitEthernet3/1 is up, line protocol is up

Hardware is Gigabit Ethernet Port, address is 0002.4b99.aa00 (bia 0002.4b99.aa

00)

...

Input queue: 97371/2000/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0

the documentation still describes the old input queue with 0/75. especially interesting in the above output are the 97371 whatevers on the left hand side. by the way the software is 12.1(11)EW1 and the users complain about a slow network.

the bug database does not show any known bugs (bug DB for the outside world, to be correct).

Thanks for any hint.

Mat

Re: input queue on Cat4000 with native IOS

I would only suspect it to be accounting bug. As you experiencing a slowdown in the network, it could be a genuine congestion issue as well. Please check out all the active interfaces for any congestion in the outgoing direction and re-arrange your network
