After I installed the IOS I lost the command to configure the fast ethernet ports. Uhh did I miss something? Im still learning, but I did en / conf t / int f 0/0 and it says there is no fast ethernet there anymore. :(
Did something change in that version? If I cant reconfigure the f-e's I cant ftp a new IOS to fix the problem. Im consoled in now, via a laptop /usb /console patch cord. How can I get my fe's back?

well Im gonna blow it away and just reload another IOS. For some reason its not seeing any of the interfaces other than the console and the aux. Very odd. I dont know why it wont see any of the interfaces, but needless to say ive had a frustrating day.
If anyone has any other suggestions, id like to hear em.

Im going nuts. Since it wont recognize anything other than the console and the aux ports, I cant set up a tftp or ftp b/c there is no way to set up an interface to assign an ip address to.
Does anyone know how to push an IOS through the console port connected to a win/hypterm laptop?

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I am not able to get there, and I cant get anyone in customer support to help me get my corporate account fixed, service contract made, or for that matter, return an email. :(
I ended up doing a ctrl+break and xmodem'ing the ios to the router through the console cable. It took 45 min, which is less time than I thought it would. Im getting closer and its working. If there is a pdf that you can send me, that would be great. Otherwise I cant access the link. They wont let me in.

Ok Im a moron. I found a way to get to the link. For some reason when I clicked on the link, it said it was only for a level above what I was authorized for (guest).
So I looked at the URL and figured out that if I go through the main page, products, routers, cisco 800 series routers, under tech docs / configuration guides, cisco 800 series software config guide, upgrading cisco IOS software, there it is, how to upgrade a IOS from the console port by doing CTRL+Break and the ROM (tiny rom)
I figured out how to do it the hard way, but this helps alot. Thanks for taking the time to help me out. I dont know if the IOS works yet, but at least I can get a new IOS to the router. Its wierd that this works even though I have a 2651 and this doc is listed under the 800 series. I guess its supposed to work for everything. I do know it works for me.
Thanks again.
