Intel Pro/100 and 2948 switch

Some of our computers currently have Intel Pro/100 NICs and are consistently getting link up/down connections to our 2948 switch. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Re: Intel Pro/100 and 2948 switch

Search for Intel Pro/100 in the following page

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/473/46.html#NIC

Make sure you have the latest drivers and Go to Control pannel / System /Hardware/Device Manager. Click the Network Adapters / Intel Pro 100 +.At the Power Managment tab , Unmark the "Allow the computer to turn off this device" tab.

Also the following section in the above page should be useful
