Inter Vlan Routing

I have read how to route from one vlan to another, my problem is they want a single vlan120 192.168.120.0 /24 operating at two seprerate sites. The switches connect to a 1760 router via fastethernet sub-interfaces and the routed connection is via a gre tunnel. Any ideas or pointers on how to bridge this vlan.

Re: Inter Vlan Routing

Are there more than one VLAN's on both of ur switches? If u have only one VLAN(defgault VLAN1) on both end switches, then no extra configuration is necessary.By default, routers connected to GRE tunnel will carry these VLAN's across the GRE tunnel. If more than 1VLAN , u need to enable one port(a separate port not belonging to any VLAN) on each switch as Trunk Port.By default, trunk ports will carry all VLAN traffic across them. Its upto the router 's connected with a GRE tunnel to carry this VLAN traffic across the tunnel.

For this to occur, the router IOS has to suppport GRE tunnelling first.Ensure with that. Also,u need to configure those routers for GRE tunnelling.
