inter-vlan trouble

hi, i have 12 vlans but i have a trouble, my server in which the users logged in is in the vlan 1, and the hosts in other vlans can`t log in into the server.

if i make a ping to the server responds ok, do i need to configure something else?

i `m just routing vlans with no restrictions

thanks

Re: inter-vlan trouble

if it is a CAT OS switch, configure 'set port host x/y" on all ports directly connected to endstations such as workstations/servers

If it is IOS based switch, configure "switchport host" under the interfaces

Re: inter-vlan trouble

We had the same problem with our Netware Servers. If you are using Netware OS you need to enable Multicast routing on the Router.
