Interface errors

Hi all,

i have the following scenario: one router (1841) connected to the WAN on s0/0/0 and to the LAN on f0/0.

s0/0/0 is showing an incresing number of CRC, input errors, overruns and aborts; f0/0 does not.

the cpu load is normal (12-15%), the WAN link is usually saturated. the ISP sent me a technician, we did a local loop on the copper, link is error free!

can you please provide me with an explanation of the above? what are crcs, aborts... an indication of? and how to remoediate this situation?

thanks in advance.

A few topics to check:

a) the clocking: does the router receive a proper clock signal from the ISP?

b) grounding: are both ends grounded according to the requirements?

regards,

Leo
