Interface Serial1/0:0 (reset/down)

What's the meaning of the following status over serial interface :

Serial1/0:0 is reset, line protocol is down

Protocol at layer 2 is down, there may be a mismatch configuration between your router and the remote site router. Other different causes may state the intreface as reset: A packet terminated in middle of transmission , You can follow a complete guide for troubleshooting at:
