Intergration of WLSE within Cisco2000

We have currently installed WLSE 2.X and have succeeded in added the device to Cisco2000 (RME and Campus Manager).

The device appears with a green-coated ? within the topology view. Not sure what the next step would be to provide the means of excessing WLSE via this device.

Any ideas?

Re: Intergration of WLSE within Cisco2000

The only integration between CW2K and WLSE is:

a) You can create a link to launch CW2K desktop from within WLSE GUI: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cwparent/cw_1105/wlse/2_0/cmcinteg.htm

b) Import Devices from CW2K Server: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cwparent/cw_1105/wlse/2_0/user_gd/admin.htm#1052114

Re: Intergration of WLSE within Cisco2000

Thanks for your information.

While doing research myself I came across the same, however, CW2K has the URL hardcoded as http:, and our access to WLSE is https:.

How then can I create a link?

You'll have to enable SSL on CW2K as well.

Re: Intergration of WLSE within Cisco2000

hdjohn--Even with SSL disabled (since not all of LMS/RWAN support SSL) you can add https items to Management Connection.

Do this in CW2K:

Management Connection

Administration

Create

Application Name: WLSE

Version: 2.0.x (or whatever version you have)

Description: Whatever as appropriate

Next

http://:443

Next

WLSE

Next

Item Name: WLSE

URL: https://

Display to: Enable as necessary

Pay particular attention to the warning of this page.

"Enter item information for the folder WSLE. The server name "http://:443" will be prepended if the URL you enter is not fully qualified.

Then click next a couple of times, enter the nessary info in the Application Support Information.

Click next, then Update Menu Now.

I've used these procedures for numerous https items.
