IOS DHCP Server for multiple subnets

Hello,

we have a 2610xm with a 4-port ethernet interface. Is is possible to configure DHCP on that router so that clients comming from different subnets are getting a correct IP address (that is belonging to their own subnet) ? I know that I can configure several DHCP pools, but how can I tie them to a specific interface ? Or is the IOS smart enough to automatically assign an address out of the appropriate pool ?

Thank you very much for your help,

Bernd

It is smart enough.

It will recognise the contest from the IP address of the packets' incoming interface and assign an IP belonging to the same scope.

I did it with a 1751 trunking on a Catalyst with 3 subinterfaces ... It works.
