What can i do with a Catalyst 3500 xl that has reached the End Of Life ???

The Image that it is actually runnig is vulnerable

How can i Patch this Device, because i try to load an 3500 recent image and this doesn't function.

You should be able to upgrade fine to 12.0(5)WC8 which has a fix for the IP4 vulnerability. The following page should help

i tried yesterday and this doesn't function

the router boot in Switch: mode

and when i try to manually boot it says:

Error loading "flash:c3500xl-c3h2s-mz.120-5.WC8"

Interrupt within 5 seconds to abort boot process.

Boot process failed...

Download a fresh copy of 120-5.WC8 from

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/cat3500XL

and then TFTP it into the switch
