Hi Friend!
i have 6509 sup1-2GE.the ios reside on the flash memory 64M.the builtin bootflash its 16M,THE IOS ON the PCMCIA IS 16.7M.I HAVE DOWNLOADED IOS 14M.I NEED To install this IOS ON THE bootflash than i will remove the pcmcia.now what can i do rather copy the New IOS FROM The TFTP to bootflash?what the other boot command should i use?

Hi Ali,
The other way that you can use instead of TFTP to bootflash is to copy the IOS to the PCMCIA card and then boot the Sup from the PCMCIA card ( boot system flash slot
Why do you want to remove PCMCIA from there. I would recommend you to keep the IOS on the PCMCIA card and have it in the switch.

10xs for ur reply!the 6509 sat in unsecure place(temperory) in our entreprise i care if some remove it and go and then we lose the card & the config.this will be a big problem.this is why i want that.
