Hi Ali,

AFAIK for 3560 the command is "archive download-sw " to download a new image from a TFTP server to the switch and to overwrite or keep the existing image.

Check this link to get the command detail on 3560

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat3560/12225see/cr/cli1.htm#wp2273183

HTH, if yes please rate the post.

Hi Ali,

I am not very sure about the copy command but looking at the documents (config guide and command reference for 3560) copy command is not present anywhere.I checked one of the very old ios for 3560 which is 12.1(19)EA1, February 2004 and this release also does no sow the copy commands in their documents and stressed on "archieve" command

Have a look at this link for 3560 config guide "Working with IOS file system"

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat3560/12119ea1/3560scg/swiosfs.htm#1020620

But being an IOS based switch this command should be present there but not sure if that command will work or not but no harm in trying copy command, you can try that command if it is available in IOS.

HTH, if yes please rate the post.
