Re: IOS upgrade

Hi,

1) It's always safer to wait for GD. But it might take a long time. So it depends on your needs. If you just want to upgrade to be up-to-date, I'd recommed to use the latest GD. If you want to use anything else, read the Release Notes for known caveats.

Here is a useful document about IOS releases:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/620/1.html

2) http://www.cisco.com/kobayashi/sw-center/lan/cat6000.shtml

3) use sh ver command to see the IOS version, sh flash to identify the IOS file and tools listed in paragraph 6.1 of the http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/620/1.html document to identify the features included (Cisco Feature navigator http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/jsp/index.jsp -> Search by Release/Image Name/Product Code/Platform especially).

Milan
