I have numerous 2950 switches at various sites and I want to check if there is a newer ios release out that I should get. Is there a guide of sorts for when you should upgrade and what to go to that everybody uses?
Thanks
Ron

You did not let us know what you are running and any reasons for upgrading. 12.1(14)EA1 has lot of bug fixes, but as always read the release notes and check bug tool kit for known issues

I am currently running 12.1 (6) Ea2a. I was hoping Cisco had a page that you could plug in your switch or router model and IOS revision and it would come up with the latest and greatest versions and reasons to upgrade. THank you for your response.

Hi,
this function is partly provided by CiscoWorks 2000 RME Software Management.
But it's always safer to read Release Notes.
