We are trying to run ip accounting on a router to show how much traffic is going to particular ip addresses. What happens when the buffer reaches the maximum size - does the information get overwritten or does the router simply stop logging?
Is there an easier way of collecting this kind of information, eg based on source or destination address...
the router will stop logging source and destination pairs , any traffic that hits source/dest pairs that are already in the table gets accumulated to the stats.
by the way you can increase the threshold by using
'ip accounting-threshold xxxx'
