Re: ip accounting

hi

The ip accounting command will be helpful to find out the traffic transactions happening in the device.

The ip accounting command records the number of bytes (IP header and data) and packets switched through the system on a source and destination IP address basis. Only transit IP traffic is measured and only on an outbound basis; traffic generated by the router access server or terminating in this device is not included in the accounting statistics.

Its supported in all router models, but limited to some models of switches not in all the models..

Re: ip accounting

Does this take up much cpu, and does it fill the memory on the router, does it also auto clear out at certain intervals ?

thanks
