Re: ip address

TCP/IP is the set of protocols used on the Internet and most corporate networks. IP addressing is the schema used to uniquely address every device on a network that uses TCP/IP. In the computer world, an IP address is roughly analogous to a phone number in the voice world.

You might find this useful:

Re: ip address

RFC 791, although old, may shed some light. ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc791.txt The transition already underway to IPv6 should underscore the importance of understanding Internet Protocols.

Re: ip address

hey man,

Actually it all depends on your network design.

Is it a LAN or a WAN you are interested. Is your company grwoing, or is this network you are going to build staying the same let me know. Because you can use ip unnumbered. It all depends
