IP Permit List

When using the IP Permit List on a CAT, any attempts to telnet that are not authorised are logged and can be seen with the "SHOW IP PERMIT" command. My question is - Is there a way of clearing this record of unauthorised telnet attempts. I cannot find a command. Resetting the switch works but that is obviously a bit drastic.

Re: IP Permit List

It's a bit of a guess, but have you tried disabling the IP permit list, then re-enabling it?

To do this the command is:

set ip permit disable

then obviously

set ip permit enable

I wonder if this flushes the record of unauthorised attempts? Let me know if this works or not - it's a stab in the dark!
