I have quoted (2x) PWR-C45-2800ACV, Catalyst 4500 2800W AC Power
Supplies for each of my 4506 boxes
These PSU require the CAB-AC-2800W-INT international power cord and are
terminated at ground level not by the traditional 3-pin plug (UK) but the round
commando style couplers. This will likely cause consternation within
my customer as it deviates from the norm. and will require the provision
of more commando style connections under the floor.
Questions:
1. Is there a 3-pin UK version available for this wattage?
2. The new 1300-Watt AC power supply (PWR-C45-1300ACV) combines data and in-line power support in 1+1 redundant power configurations. A single power supply is capable of supporting 125 Cisco IP phones in conjunction with in-line power enabled Catalyst 4000 10/100 line cards. Dual power supplies can support up to 199 phones in non-redundant combined mode. This is also a potential problem if I replace the 2800 with the 1300-Watt supply, as all switches have been flood wired to support 144 users. Are there similar statistics available when using the single 2800 PSU (when the active PSU has failed) and when 2 are used in non-redundant mode?
Can anyone answer either question?
