IP UNNUMBERED ON WAN DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY ......

I have 4 leased line with 4 cisco 2610 with 2 serial.

Encapsulation HDLC, load balancing with EIGRP and failover with MHRSP.

I configured my serials interfaces with ip unnumbered e0/0, so each s0/x obtain ip address from interface ethernet 0/0.

But when i ping a router from another, it fail.

From local network i reach ethernet interface of local router, but not ethernet of other routers.

Why this? I'm missing somethings?

Thanks.

Remember you can't ping an IP unnumbered interface.

Well, first start with troubleshooting your serial interfaces to make sure you have connectivity between your routers:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/cisintwk/itg_v1/tr1915.htm

Next, troubleshoot your routing protocol:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/105/top_issues/iprouting/top_issues_rp.shtml

True, you can't ping your serial I/F, but you should be able to ping eth0 to eth0 on your routers.

Have fun!!
