Hi
We need to setup a 6509 switch to allow inter-vlan routing. The routing should handle ip and ipx.
The 6509 is installed a msfc2 with supervisor engine 1A.
My question is that, do I need to upgrade or buy anything to make ipx routing work between different vlan? Or the existing setup is ok?
Best Regards

Hi,
This is from Cisco.
The MSFCin combination with the PFCprovides 15 million packets per second (Mpps) of forwarding performance for IP, IPX®, and IP Multicast traffic, in addition to supporting multiprotocol routing for AppleTalk, DecNet, and Vines for Enterprise customers.
I think you are having PFC because you are doing IP intervlan routing. Then, it'll support, no need.
This might help...
