Is Cisco 7609 runs on only IOS for Layer3 and Layer 2

Is 7609 runs on IOS for configuring Layer3 and Layer 2 or we need to use CAT OS and IOS separately. Can somebody give me some informaiton on this plz.

Gopalam,

The 7609 is meant to run Catalyst IOS which is one image for all (L2 and L3) functions. What specific information are you after on this?
