I thought Frame Relay was a full-duplex WAN technology. However, I made a test with a 64 kbps frame relay subinterface ( HSSI ) generating very heavy traffic in both directions ( a big email in the incoming way and a file transfer in the outgoing way ).
Traffic rates seemed to be stable. However, when the incoming traffic finished, the outgoing transfer increased its rate as if it could make use of more available bandwidth. The following captures prove it:
