Is ISL or 802.1q trunking support on the Catalyst 2916M-XL (WS-C2916M-XL)?

I have softare version c2900XL-hs-mz-112.8.6-SA6.bin in box.

I do not see command

"switchport trunk" while issue "?"

What does it mean?

How I can change encapsulation of trunk to 802.1Q ?

Only certain uplink modules for the Catalyst 2916M-XL support trunking. The front panel ports do not support ISL or 802.1q trunking regardless of software version due to a hardware limitation.

Trunking is not supported on the "fixed" ports of the switch. With that switch, trunking is only supported on specific uplink modules which have to be inserted in the 2 slots. Here are the uplink modules supporting trunking:
