Is it possible to check temperature of Catalyst switches...?

I have a few Cat 5000 series switches throughout, and was wondering if it is possible to check the current temperature of the switch. My current customer is asking because he feels the are where one of our switches is located is not "cool enough". Thanks.

On a CAT6000, you can can do a sh evironment http://cio.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat6000/sw_6_3/cmd_ref/sh_d_i.htm#30557

It's not supported in CAT5000/4000

you can take the room ambient temperature and add 20 - 30 deg Farenheit to get a guess of the temp inside. Please operate the switch under recommended temperature range. exceeding would result lower life of the units.
