Is it possible to make a trunk between two switches over a remote bridge and media converter (100 baseTx <->100 Base Fx)?

I have two switches in different buildings 20 Km distant and with a FO pair between them. I need to share the vlans and I'm going to use a media converter from UTP do FO. Both switches supports TRUNK in their 100 baseTx ports. Does the media converter needs to be transparent or is it possible to use a bridge to stablish a TRUNK between them?

Yes. It should work.

As long as you use only media converters which

are not interpreting the Ethernet frames

the switches must "see" each other as connected

back to back.
