While they are encrypted and service-password encryption is on?
If so, what is the formula?
No real need, just a colleague told me that yesterday as we were looking at printouts of a cat65er and saw the encrypted passwords. My colleague started to work it out, but did not finish and as he is a CCIE, I have to believe it is possible.
Does anyone know the formula? I would love to know it just to know it...

Hello,
A tool exist to know the cisco Level 7 password.
As they say : "When a Cisco Level 7 encrypted password is entered, this
program will decrypt it to its clear test form."
and it's work good.
I don't kown the formula used.
About the secret password, Cisco use another encryption level and i don't know if it possible to decrypt it.
Regards.

It's called getpass.exe and it decrypts level 7 passwords only.

AFAIK, MD5 hash function used to calculate enable secret password hash, so, for now, there is the only one way to decrypt this - brut force.
