Is "dialer pool" only for point to point?

I have the followiong configuration on a test plan:

------------------------------------------------------------------------

!

interface serial 1/0:15

...

dialer pool-member 1

!

interface serial 1/1:15

...

dialer pool-member 1

!

interface dialer 1

...

dialer pool 1

!

interface dialer 2

...

dialer pool 2

!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

with this configuration, when more remote routers try to access one dialer interface, the first router gets connected and all the other routers fail to connect.

So my question is: if I configure dialer pool-member do I have to configure one dialer interface for each remote site or can I use single dialer interface as a multipoint access?

Many thanks

Re: Is "dialer pool" only for point to point?

The dialer profile is a point-to-point interface, this requires a Layer 3 to Layer 2 map & so will need a seperate dialer interface to bind to each remote site.

The concept of dialer remote-name / dialer caller is used.

Each dialer interface is a member of a single dialer pool; the pool is a group of one or more physical interfaces.

Please refer to the below link for concepts on dialer profiles:

For your application, where its all inbound dialing on this test plan , yes you do need one dialer interface per remote site.
