Is that possible?

This happened in our customer live network. The router has two Fast Ethernet interfaces.

By theory, it only transfers Max 100Mbits/sec on each interface. But here is my show interface f0/1 out put. It accepted 407Mbits/sec without any input drop.

How to explain that?

Router-B2#sh int f0/1

FastEthernet0/1 is up, line protocol is up

Hardware is AmdFE, address is 000e.d7a8.9801 (bia 000e.d7a8.9801)

Internet address is 10.205.93.1/24

MTU 1500 bytes, BW 100000 Kbit, DLY 100 usec,

reliability 255/255, txload 21/255, rxload 124/255

Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set

Keepalive set (10 sec)

Full-duplex, 100Mb/s, 100BaseTX/FX

ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00

Last input 00:01:00, output 00:00:00, output hang never

Last clearing of "show interface" counters 00:05:20

Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0

Queueing strategy: fifo

Output queue: 0/40 (size/max)

30 second input rate 407008000 bits/sec, 34724 packets/sec

30 second output rate 8265000 bits/sec, 17281 packets/sec

Cisco's counters aren't always accurate. ;-)

on other site of this interface is a Extrem Switch.

Do you have any the same problem experance?

I've seen inaccurate counters before on Cisco devices, and posts from others who have experienced this issue pop up regularly here and elsewhere. It's fairly common, unfortunately.
