is the neighbor command functional under eigrp

I have configured EIGRP neighbor in two situations: on a frame relay interface which does not carry multicast (map statement does not have broadcast) and

on a serial interface made passive. In both cases I expect to see unicast hello and in neither case do I see unicast hello being sent.

Re: is the neighbor command functional under eigrp

There are many issues with using the EIGRP

"neighbor" command. It is not recommended that

this command be used. Add the "broadcast" keyword

to the frame-relay map statement for EIGRP neighbors

to establish. If you use the passive-interface

command, in no case will an EIGRP hello be sent.
