we are undergoing a major overhaul of our wan and this would be a great time to re-address. I am looking for some best practices. We use EIGRP and have about 150 sites primairily homing-in to 2 locations. Network will be frame with dsl/isdn backup.

I don't know of any specific addressing papers but I did have a couple URLs and comments for you.

Here are some EIGRP links that might help you:

Just keep in mind, especially if you can readdress your IPs, that EIGRP works with Queries to determine nest feasable successor. These queries can melt your EIGRP network if not properly designed. Summarization / Filtering/ EIGRP Stub feature are things that you can use, and should, to limit this. This would ensure that your EIGRP network is stable and you have no SIA (Stuck in Active) issues.

Hope this helps you,
