Be careful with DLSw and NAT/PAT. DLSw will work with NAT, but only if the NAT is set up compatible with the initial handshake used to bring up DLSw associations. Basically, both DLSw peers must agree which peer has the numerically higher IP address. A NAT which reverses the comparison between peers will break DLSw. There are more details in Chapter 10 of my book "High Availability Networking with Cisco."
