Is there something like HSRP for Pixes??

Hi people,

Thing is, I have two ISP´s in my LAN with diferent Cisco routers (two diferent gateways), then , I need to use the second one only like a backup,but, for security, these Links have a Pix everyone, is there something like HSRP but for Pixes???

If somebody can help me about that issue

will be very useful.

typically, in a scenario like yours, the PIX failover feature could be used. Have a look at the link below, it has a pretty comprehensive description of that technique:

Thing is, my pix are 501 and a 506.

it is a problem for cable failover.

Hi

There are some limitations as per the supporting doc which stats that Neither PIX 501 or PIX 506/506E units can be used for failover, either as the primary or secondary unit..
