isdn backup over a second router

How do I configure the following:

on the first router, i have a leased line and on the second one I have two isdn lines.

if the leased line goes down, the second router should make a connection over

both isdn lines.

Re: isdn backup over a second router

You need to use HSRP, tracking the

leased line. When that goes down,

the second router will take control of

the virtual IP address, and a regular

DDR config would then dial.

Re: isdn backup over a second router

i think making a second static route is more simple.

if the LL go down then the static route of the LL is no longer available so the router will use the second route that points to the second router with a metric > to that of the first route.
