We have upgraded our ios an all 2610 routers to version 12.2(17a). Since then we faced the following problem:

Dialer0 does not triger a call to the main router. To solve the problem, we shutdown the dialer0 interface, save configuration, reload the router with dialer0 shutdown and then issue the command "no shutdown" at the dialer0 interface. This seems to solve the problem temporarily since when the router is reloaded the same problem exists again and we have to do the same procedure again. Does anybody know how to solve the above problem?

I see your problem is going on. Have you tried using bri interface instead of dialer or another sw upgrade? It sounds like CSCeb39295. I'm saying again, the first sw after 12.2(17) mainline will probably solve this.
