I have setup a ISDN PRI for RAS previously using Cisco 3640.

But , now I want to try , configure an ISDN BRI and Cisco 2600 series ( IOS 12.1(5)T )for a dial in purpose using modem. My questions are :-

1) Can we use ISDN BRI for dialing purpose like what i have configure for the RAS ( using PRI and Cisco 3640 ) ?

2) If we can , then it is possible for me to get a sample configuration ?

For your info , I'm using a normal modem (not a ISDN modem )attached to my PC to dial.

Not applicable

1. Yes. Most ISDN features are independent

of PRI and BRI.

2. For the most part, the config is

identical. Copy the 3640 config directly

to the BRI, add (if applicable) the BRI

SPID's, and you should be OK.
