ISDN DDR doesnt disconnect call when IGP protocol route comes back and probagates over serial interface. When shut then no shut but bri call is dropped and doesnt come back up

While performing an isdn ddr intrusive test. Shut down serial interface all IGP routes stop being propagated over serial interface and starts going over dialer interface. When you bring back up the serial interface all IGP routes stop being propagated over dialer interface and starts going back over the serial interface. The problem is that the isdn call stays initiated after the idle-timeout 300. The call doesnt drop until you manually shut no shut the bri interface. The remote site is dialing a PRI Hub at main site . access-list are configured to deny all IGP multicast routes

Re: ISDN DDR doesnt disconnect call when IGP protocol route come

Verify with sho dialer what is the time

to disconnect.

If the counters are reset to initial value

then packets are still passing via the ISDN line.

Verify the "dialer idle-timeout" setting.
