Hi anyone has any idea that can I use my router 1600 to connect to Internet as what other ISDN routers do, i.e. connect to Internet as required by internal Internet traffic and once connected, it will automatically gain an IP address from the ISP (like normal analog modem ISP dial-up) ?

If 1600 is able to do this, so please guide anywhere I can have a sample configuration for such requirement. Response is much appreciated.

Hi,

The first link is specific and the second is the access dial cookbook

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/779/smbiz/service/configs/isdn/isdn_isp_chap_nat.htm

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/793/access_dial/backofbookindex.html

Note that the first link uses legacy DDR whereas for scalability I would prefer to use Dialer Profile, example here:
