ISDN error message

Hi, Could someone help in trying to figure out what this error message means.

ISDN-6-INVALID_TIMER: LIF_RemoveTimer: Invalid Timer Handle, caller 0x800D8490 handle -1

The error message is on a 2610 router.

What is LIF?

Are there any recommendations on how to troubleshoot this issue?

A lookup on cisco did not provide much information.

Thank you for your help.

Re: ISDN error message

Hello,

LIF stand for Line Interface. AFAIK, your error message means that the line interface (LIF) timer blocks reach the maximum number and no more calls can be accepted by the router. This is usually due to a software bug. A reload is required in order to clear the blocks. There is no workaround other than upgrading your IOS. Which version are you running ?

Regards,

Georg
