I have set up a Cisco Router (1600) for dial on demand purposes for a client and the problem is that the router dials out intermitently and the client ends up with huge bills. Looking at the bill it shows the router dialing up at intervals like every 10 minutes or 15 minutes apart.

I have set up rules to filter off UDP packets on Ports 127,138 and 139. This helped but did not cure it. The problem actually is not just during the day but during the night as well

SHOW DIALER should tell you the dial reason. Probably SNMP polls or traps. Use the access-list option on the dialer-list to drop IP broadcast destinations and SNMP as well. Switch off CDP on the interface. This may help...
