ISDN30e Serial Interface Problem

I am trying to connect a second ISDN30e line to a NM2-CE1-B card on a Cisco 3640 router. When I look at the interfaces for both channels on the card I get; s1/0:15 up/up (Spoofing), s1/1:15 reset/down.

S1/0:15 is working how I would expect but I dont understand the output for s1/1:15.

This is the output when I do show int s1/1:15

Oxford3640#sh int s1/1:15

Serial1/1:15 is reset, line protocol is down

Hardware is DSX1

MTU 1500 bytes, BW 64 Kbit, DLY 20000 usec,

reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255

Encapsulation PPP, loopback not set

DTR is pulsed for 1 seconds on reset

Last input never, output never, output hang never

Last clearing of "show interface" counters 00:17:37

Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 8

Queueing strategy: weighted fair

Output queue: 0/1000/64/0 (size/max total/threshold/drops)

Conversations 0/0/16 (active/max active/max total)

Reserved Conversations 0/0 (allocated/max allocated)

5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

5 minute output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

0 packets input, 0 bytes, 0 no buffer

Received 0 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles

0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored, 0 abort

0 packets output, 0 bytes, 0 underruns

0 output errors, 0 collisions, 2 interface resets

0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out

0 carrier transitions

Timeslot(s) Used:16, Transmitter delay is 0 flags

I would be extremely grateful if someone could prod me in the right direction

Hi Derek

First, you should do a "sh isdn status".

Here you are the ISDN PRI Troubleshooting document:

This is simple.

Your PRI line is down.

Pls check with your TELCO provider.

Simple thing you can do is, interchange 5/0 and 5/1 PRI line.

Then 5/1 will come up.
