ISIS problems when using OSI and IP

Hello all,

I am currently having an issue with my isis routing being properly exchanged when both OSI isis and IP isis are used simultaneously.

When both protocol are active a previously active L1/L2 clns adjacency changes state to an IS adjacency. As can been seen in the below output:

Area BACKBONE:

System Id Interface SNPA State Holdtime Type Protocol

DUSMR01 Tu51 10.99.5.1 Up 276 IS ES-IS

DUSMR01 Fa0/0 0004.4d1f.33c0 Up 8 L2 IS-IS

I have searched for some decent documentation regarding ip and osi running together but there doesn´t seem to be too much info out there.

If anybody has seen this behaviour before and knows how to resolve this issue please let me know.

Kind Regards,

Josh Halley

What IOS version are you running?

Could you run a "deb isis adj"?

I have resolved the issues associated with this problem. It turns out that you cannot run intergrated isis and osi isis within the same isis area without running both ip isis and osi isis on all the links within the area. The only other solution to this issue to to split osi isis into a separate area to the intergrated isis routes.

Kind Regards,

Josh
