Re: ISP equipment

The choice of platform will mainly depend on how many users you have plus how many simultaneous connection are required. I assume these are going to be digital lines (T1/E1) into the Access servers....

Presently the Access server platforms include the AS5350/ AS5400 / AS5850 on the nextport modems....there are other Access servers that are EOL or nearing EOL like the as5300/ as5800.

For authentication can use Cisco Secure..

Re: ISP equipment

Thanks Mak, I understand T1/E1. What I don't understand is how does 500 users would connect to the Access server with 1 phone number....

eg.. 96572345. What equipment do I need to receive the 500 users at the same time.

Re: ISP equipment

as5400 with CT3 & 6 x 108 NP modems will best serve your requirement.

Sure we can have the provider have all the trunks in one single hunt group, that is, users will need to dial into the same number.

Thanks, Mak.
