we are an ISP with about 30 3640 and 30 AS5200's. our 3640 csu/dsu cards seem to being failing a lot. Does anybody else have the same problem? any resolutions(a specific ios?). Is there a better solution or router to use. The AS5200 works great, and we are considering switching the 3640's to AS5200's(I know that it is eol product, but that just makes it less expensive.) Any help would be appreciated.

If the problem is that worst on 3600's i think you should take a help of Cisco TAC engineers by visiting www.cisco.com/tac to open a case.

It would be nice to learn a bit more about what exactly the symptoms of the failure are. Do you see
any console messages when a failure occurs?

there are no errors on the router. Usually the modems just stop receiving calls. The last time it happened. Everything looked ok. The NOC we use tested the line from the switch and noticed a lot of CRC errors. We replaced the card and it came right back up.
