Java Plug-In use

I know certain catalyst switches require certain java plug-in versions. For instance, the 3550 uses version 1.4.0 while the 3500XL's use 1.3.0 or 1.3.1. I have installed both versions on my pc(WinXP,Win2000) but naturally Internet Explorer uses version 1.4.0 by default. Well when I log into my 3500XL switches, it will not load beyond java.lang.NullPointerException. There has to be a way to use two plug-ins or tell IE what to do.

Hi,

use 1.3.1.

It works fine with 3550, too (and also with Cat2950, 4000 and 6000).

I'm running 1.3.1 (international, downloaded from Sun web - my Windows are localized to the Czech language).

I also recommend using Netscape 4.79 as a browser (but 1.3.1 works fine with IE 5.5 and 6.0 , too).

I'm afraid there is no way how to run both 1.3.1 and 1.4.0 on one machine.
