Is there a performance difference in running a port as a L2 interface vs. a L3 interface?

none whatsoever if simply comparing L2 vs. L3 on a physical port. However, some features that are L2 or L3 specific may specifically have reduced performance if they are not executed in hardware.

The box in question is a core box that has about 30 EIGRP neighbors that are currently all fed on L2 ports. I am going to convert from hybrid to IOS and would like to move to L3 ports for several reasons but dont want to lose performance (CPU and bandwidth specifically). The interfaces will be running net-flow, multicast, EIGRP.
