Since you have only 3 routers, you might want to try either of these.
hook the routers in a triangle configuration.
c2500 --------------c4000------------c2600
\-----------------------------------------/
You can run basic routing protocols over them, rip and igrp. You may even run ospf and eigrp to study basic configuration of behaviour of these protocols.
Another topology you can use would be to configure teh c4000 as a frame-relay switch and c2500 will have a pvc running through the c4000 to the c2600.
Let us know if you need the configs.

Thanks for your advise -
I may need assistance with the config for the Frame-Relay - I will try and have a go myself and let you know
Kind Regards
